1. Diagnostic Fee
The diagnostic fee covers the cost of dispatching a professional technician to your home or business to diagnose the issue with your appliance or equipment. It is $49–129, depending on the type of appliance (residential, built-in or commercial), and is quoted to you when you book. It includes:
- The technician’s time and labor for diagnosis
- Travel to the service address
- A written repair estimate
The diagnostic fee is due at the time of the technician’s visit, whether or not you choose to proceed with the repair. Any credit of the diagnostic fee toward a completed repair is stated on your written estimate.
The repair price is given to you in writing after diagnosis. No repair work starts until you approve it.
2. Diagnostic Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Customer understands and agrees that during the diagnostic process, the appliance or equipment may already have pre-existing defects, wear, electrical issues, internal damage, corrosion, or prior improper repairs that are not visible or detectable before testing begins.
During diagnostics — including but not limited to powering the unit on or off, voltage testing, disassembly, component inspection, system resets, or operational testing — the appliance may partially or completely fail, stop functioning, or sustain additional damage as a result of these pre-existing conditions.
RepairPro FL and its technicians shall not be held responsible or liable for appliance failure, loss of function, or additional damage that occurs during or immediately after diagnostic procedures, provided that reasonable and standard diagnostic practices are used.
Customer acknowledges that diagnostic services are performed at the customer’s own risk, especially for appliances that are:
- Older or out of manufacturer warranty
- Previously repaired or modified
- Improperly installed
- Damaged by power surges, lightning, flooding or storm conditions
- Experiencing electrical, control board, compressor, sealed system, or intermittent issues
Diagnostic services are limited to inspection and testing only and do not constitute a guarantee of repairability or continued operation of the appliance.
Customer understands that some appliances may be non-repairable, unsafe to continue operating, or economically impractical to repair once diagnostics are completed.
If an appliance becomes inoperable during diagnostics due to pre-existing conditions, the diagnostic fee and diagnostic labor remain due and non-refundable.
The company and technician are not responsible for:
- Appliance or equipment downtime
- Loss of use, loss of business or inconvenience
- Food loss, product loss, water loss, or secondary damages
- Replacement costs or consequential losses
Customer further agrees that no technician will be required to reassemble, restore, or reinstall failed components unless additional repair work is approved and paid for separately.
3. Authorization Acknowledgment
By scheduling service and authorizing diagnostic work, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to all diagnostic-related terms and conditions, including the risk of appliance failure during testing.
For commercial accounts and managed properties, the person who books the visit confirms that they are authorized to approve work and payment on behalf of the owner or business.
4. Payment Terms
- Payment Due: The diagnostic fee is due at the visit. Full payment for a repair is due on completion of the repair, unless an invoice with other terms is issued; invoiced amounts are due within 14 calendar days from the invoice date.
- Accepted Payment Methods: We accept cash, credit/debit cards and checks. Financing options are available for larger repairs — ask our dispatcher before the visit. Please make checks payable to: RepairPro FL.
- Discounts: Senior and military discounts are applied on request at the time of booking. One discount per repair; discounts do not apply to the diagnostic fee or to parts.
- By making payment, the customer confirms that all services listed on the invoice have been completed and tested, with satisfactory results, unless otherwise noted.
- Labor charges apply for any repair work performed, even if full functionality is not restored due to unrelated or underlying issues.
- In the event a deposit is paid for a future repair and the customer cancels the service for reasons beyond the company’s control, the deposit is non-refundable.
- If parts are specially ordered or delivered to the service address and the customer cancels the repair for reasons beyond the company’s control, the cost of parts and associated delivery fees are non-refundable.
